‘The Definition’ is a series of sculptural works inspired by the structure of a door frame. The idea to physically construct something which would define notions of space and boundary as a reflection of the urban environment of Glasgow, United Kingdom. The piece was installed in a variety of sites throughout the city. The intention to encourage the public to interact and engage with the structure.
The simple rectangle serves as both a physical portal and metaphorical frame. We are invited to walk through, our movements and decisions moderated by this spacial interruption. The transformation of a physical form to an emotional state; seeking to question the transition of urban development and its impact on everyday choices.
